The Sparkle Home Organizing Story
Sparkle Home Organization is on a mission to help clients from all walks of life to find peace, joy, inspiration, and confidence by harmonizing our physical, digital, and emotional spaces. Clients may hire us for their personal benefit, or to work with a loved one in need of assistance or coaching.
Acquiring physical things is an organic part of life, but knowing what to do with them, and when to let go of them, is a skill that comes naturally to some people, and can be taught to others. Some Sparkle clients may need help to tidy a messy house, others may face a hoarding situation, and others may be struggling to stay organized as part of their ADHD diagnosis and wellness strategy. Much like a Venn Diagram, these circles often overlap.
Depending on your needs, we might focus our coaching or hypnotherapy sessions on productivity, home organization, time management, personal health, or any combination of the above.
- Sessions can be task-based, perhaps to tackle a kitchen or home office project, or to resolve a pile of papers that accumulated after a house move or a baby’s arrival.
- Sessions can also compassionately explore the root causes of chronic disorganization, where a client, their organizer, and loved ones collaborate to steadily create custom-tailored solutions.
- No matter what your needs may be, your Sparkle begins when you share your story and we discuss the potential paths forward!
Jean Prominski
Founder, Sparkle Home Organizing
A messy room can be a point of pride for many artists, so it makes sense that Jean’s journey to become a nationally recognized home organization coach began in a glass studio. Before attending the Rhode Island School of Design to earn a Masters of Fine Art in Glass, she worked as a professional glass blower for the world-famous Dale Chihuly in Seattle. It was a wonderful experience, but keeping her workspace organized was a challenge. She needed to have tools – shears, punty rods, marvers, paddles, pads, tweezers, blocks, pipes, etc. – within easy reach, but also out of striking distance from all of the completed glass artworks. One false move and a week’s worth of work could become a pile of glittering shards.
Diagnosed with ADHD as a teenager, Jean has been managing symptoms most of her life. Her home, like her workspace, could easily go from “like new” to “landfill” in a matter of moments. She taught herself as many organizational skills as she could, and soon decided to uplevel her toolbox by taking classes at the Institute for Challenging Disorganization. She also trained to become an Integrative Nutrition Coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. The sense of accomplishment and peace she manifested soon gave her career a new direction. She joined the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals (NAPO) and became a Certified Professional Organizer. Friends and family in need of tips, advice, and hands-on help became her initial clients, and before too long, word of mouth referrals snowballed her business.
Jean happily shares her expertise through her blog and a growing Facebook community called Sparkle Tribe. Print, radio and television journalists, looking for practical advice and helpful hints for their audiences routinely call upon her. Her insights have appeared on the Today Show, Martha Stewart Living, Architectural Digest, Reader’s Digest, and many more.
Today, Jean uses coaching and hypnotherapy to help clients focus their attention on achieving and maintaining their organizational goals. Clients around the nation can use telehealth platforms to engage Jean’s compassionate expertise to modify organizational skills to align with the ADHD mindset.
In 2024, a new chapter begins as Jean follows her heart, and her partner, to Carlsbad, New Mexico, where he has relocated for work. She looks forward to joining the community there and bringing her expertise to new clients throughout Southeastern New Mexico. She’ll remain active in Seattle as well, managing Seattle Sparkle’s business affairs and hosting a few local events per year.
